Amtrak has an overnight train from Union Station in LA to Williams, AZ. The fare is $107.00 one way.

Helicopter or a light plane, definitely one of those must be used for an overview of the Grand Canyon.

Amtrak and Greyhound. Try checking their schedules and fees. Check also the alotted weight of baggages you can bring along.
