no. for my senior prom, i went with a group of my friends and it was the best time i've ever had. you won't feel pressure to hang out with your date all night and you don't have to go through the trouble of finding one in the first place. go for it!

No you don't have to have a date for the prom. You can take yourself - or you can go with some friends in a group situation. Honestly - you would probably have more fun NOT going with a date to the prom.

no, i went to prom with a bunch of my friends and had a great time. We pick up guys after prom at post prom parties. Fun!!

I mean now and days girls are going with their friends and usually hooking up with some cute dude after the prom.

Nope. My ex dumped me a couple of weeks before the prom so I went by myself and it was fun.

not necessarily. many think you have to. but others just go in big groups of friends and just dance with anyone. or go with a close friend you have. you don't have to always be dating the person if that's what you're asking
