DO NOT CUT OUT RED MEAT. You although it does help you lose the weight, guess what it is going to come back and fast and you will gain more. DO not take anything away from yourself.

You need to just keep moving. You need to move your whole body. Curves is wonderful and keep doing it, but when you finish what do you do? Are you eating right after working out? If you are hungery drink water! You body is telling you needs something and most think it is food. I know that when I was gaining weight for football, the best way to gain weight was to eat right after working out. You are feeding your body and muscles to grow. When I wanted to lose weight for swim team in the spring I drank a lot more water and I move my body a lot.

You need to always think how can I keep moving my body. you need to do body weight exercises. Eat lots of wonderful fresh foods. Stay away from anything packaged or processed.

Keep moving and good luck, hope to see less of you in the future.

I used to work for Curves....and you NEVER workout more than 3 times a week....m/w/f or t/th/sa....your body needs the day in between to recoup from the machines. Are you just being ho-hum on the machines and rest pads? Try keeping with the beat of the music....it is geared to go so many beats per minute. Also, DO NOT weigh yourself more than once a MONTH. Let them at Curves do the weighing/measuring on your Anniversary Date of Joining...this is done monthly on that date.

If you are just eating light/healthy on your own...that may not be the best way to go. Try doing the Dr Phil Wt Loss Solution Plan. He has two books out that are wonderful. You can go to his Site and download the 14-Day Rapid Wt Loss Plan. It does work, even if you don't do much in the way of exercising...so, if you add this Plan to the Curves Routine...it will work even better.

Don't give up and don't beat yourself up over this. The wt will come off....and Curves DOES work!

My main advice is to stick with it.
Exercise more than you intake. Two weeks is not a long time, although it may seem like it. You've done well so far, don't give up!
Also, don't starve yourself and then binge. Not only does this not solve the problem, it makes it worse. If you feel the need, indulge yourself a little once in a while, but remember; your body is a temple.

Good things to intake include nuts (especially almonds), water, baked chips, dried fruit, 100% fruit juice, nutrition bars, balance bars, pretzels, skim milk, tea, vegetables, and yogurt. However, these nutrition and Balance bars should never replace a meal.

Things to avoid would include Pop Tarts, candy bars, chips, cookies, doughnuts, sandwich crackers (Ritz is a major trap), sausage meats, beef jerkies, snack cakes (Hostess esp), soda (especially with full sugar), sugary juice or punch (Haiwaiian Punch, etc.), and whole milk.

Recent reccommendations include almonds (again!), oatmeal, yogurt, dark chocolate, berries, chard (Swiss etc.), sweet potatoes (regular contains too much starch, not enough nutrients), eggs, salsa.

Personally, I would recommend larger intakes of proteins such as/in particular, the form of beans. Lima, lentil, soy, pinto, navy, northen, garbanzo, black, kidney, etc. They stay in your stomach longer and are good for you.
If you don't like all those beans, try chicken breast. In addition, perhaps you could go for organic foods, as these generally have more flavour, although they have a higher price.

Remember to eat at least three balanced meals a day, get sleep (THIS IS IMPORTANT!), don't eat before you sleep (give at least 2 hours), and keep it up. Sometimes, hunger it really based off of thirst. Water is important! If you brush your teeth (at least 2 times a day) sometimes it wards off false signs of hunger, and the same goes for chewing gum. Low Butter or Butter free popcorn can be a healthy snack. However, these, again, should never replace a meal. You can find pre made, easy to make, balanced and healthy recipes online.

If none of these things apply to you, perhaps you are gaining muscle mass, and losing fat. Muscle weighs more than fat, which would explain the lack of weight change.
In any case, you are now in better shape, certainly, but if you drop it now, it means little to nothing. Long periods of time, consistency, determination, sleep, balanced diets (carbs are NOT horrible for you!), all add up.
I'm not personally acquainted with all the methods of "Curves," but perhaps you need a more intense work out. Crunches are excellent. Doing 50 a day for a month will show a difference.
Good luck!

Like any exercise program, it needs to be changed every 2 weeks to keep your body guessing. Also, you must continue to always push just a little bit harder than the session before.

I know you have probably heard this before, but as much as it is a pain, it really really really makes a difference to keep a food log. I keep mine online on a really good free website called fitday.com. What I love is that you can run a little report at the end of your day showing if you burned more calories than you ate!! Love that.

Keep it up. Even with the setbacks, any progress is good progress. I have lost 50, so I know how frustrating it can be. you can do it!

Two weeks is very early in a diet and exercise program, but part of what is happening is that you are likely losing fat and increasing muscle mass and muscle weighs more than fat.

However, it is possible to eat "healthy" and still take in too many calories. You need to visit with a professional to determine your calories needs and a diet that fits them.

Be a little more patient. At most you should lose only one or two pounds a week to be safe. Always discuss a diet/exercise program with your doctor for safety's sake and best results.

1. congrats on making the decision to make a change.

2. two weeks is a tiny sliver of time when it comes to body changes. don't get discouraged and be patient.

3. dieting coupled with exercise is crucial, not one or the other alone.

4. good luck! and don't get down on yourself when the extra you doesn't just disappear overnight. It will take time.

sorry snvffy, you are wrong....people just tell themselves that muscle weighs more than fat to feel better, its not true. a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat..their both a pound!!! however lvwire i think that because you are building muscle and trying to burning fat ,you might not be eating enough, cause your lite diet, your body will think its starving and hold on to any calories it can..and thats why you are not losing...

KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING !!!

First, you are getting regular exercise and that's good.
Second, you may be turning fat into muscle - and muscle weighs more than fat. Pay attention to your waist and hips to determine if there is a change in those sizes.
