can grapefruit help you lose weight?If it does,how fast?

I love it!! Cut it in half, put some cinnamon and splenda brown sugar on it and heat it in the Microwave for 40 seconds, or in the oven! Awesome.

Grapefruits can definitely help you lose weight, as can any fruit, but keep in mind that all fruits have natural sugars in them.

Grapefruit can certainly help you lose weight quickly (it's different for everyone, so it's hard to say just how fast)...but DO NOT do one of those crazy diets where you eat only grapefruit for eight days or something. Those kind of things are terrible for your health. Try eating grapefruit for breakfast and just eating sensibly for the rest of the day.

hey there... actually, there is an eating plan that is focused on grapefruit that, for me, works really well, esp. on the waist line. the acid in the grapefruit acts as a catalyst for fat/sugar/carbs if combined with the right foods. either 1/2 grapefruit or 6oz grapefruit juice after each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner). eat as much meat with each meal as you want. eliminate breads, pastas, beans, nuts, and any other fatty, sugary foods. and have some greenery with each meal and a snack between the three. oh, and do this plan 12days ON and 2 days OFF (but, don't go crazy on your days off!). of course, this eating style combined with excercise will do some magic for you. this is how i got into my wedding dress!!! i saw results in less than 4wks.

What about grapefruit for breakfast, double cream cheese and mushrooms for evening meal and strawberries or grapes for a small dessert drinks being unsweetened coffee with cream or just tap water would I lose weight then

Maybe so. But you need to change your lifestyle and do this forever. Drink lots of water, walk an hour every day except 1 then do stretching and upper body toning. Eat fruits & vegetables.

No sugar
No sodas
No candy
No chips
No potatoes
No pasta
No pizza
no corn
no bread
no burgers
no fried foods

diet, diet, diet.......

general diet rules:

1-reduce the amount of food
2-eat certain food and avoid others.

I agree with the first one but don't quite agree with second one.

how is eating grapefruit going to help you loose weight?
enzymes!
nowadays junk food are loaded with enzimes because they started to enrich processed food with vitamines and minerals so this entire enzime problem is not a problem any more.

my advise is reduce the amount of food and excercise.

It helps, because it improves your digestive system and help you get the waste out of your body faster, and psychologically grapefruits taste a bit bitter, so it can reduce your appetite

i think it can if eaten for breakfast like on a empty stomach, its supposed to help break down fat cells that you have in your body making it easier to lose accumulated fat

i dont know how fast though
