I can say nothing. She's rough, beat me, but she prays. I hope I can have someone to discuss things with, asking for opinion, but the only thing she can always suggests is "pray". I need some realistic answer, not heavenly answer as I'm living on earth. I can't trust her as everytime the comments are negative and blaming what I'm doing. So I don't tell her what my activities are. Although she makes very nice cookings for me.

ok--- My mom passed away in 2000 i was 25. Me and my mom were not close. I grew up in a fast neighborhood and put my friends before her. My mom was from Newark,NJ She was a strong Italian woman.. No Joke!!! She knew the streets and knew that they were nothing but trouble!! But i knew it all too.... I wanted to hang out with the drug dealers and get in trouble with the law.. I got caught in a drug raid and i thought my mom was going to kill me!! She told me as long as i wasn;t doing the drugs she was happy. Sounds kinda weird but i understood her. She never let me be out all hours of the night like all my other friends, i would always have to have a job and pay rent every week i hated it and i hated her!!! my mother was my mother and my father i was raised n a single family home my father was killed in 1991 -- i guess i was mad at life and how i led it. I did not realize the lessons she was trying to teach me with responsibility and respect. It was only until 5 years ago, that i appreciated everything that she did!!! I am soo happy of the way i was raised i am strong and a responsible adult now and i owe it all to my mother and our struggle!!!! FYI we had closure before she died!!!

She is my best friend. I can tell her/ask her anything and I know that she will give me her honest opinion. She is the person with unconditional love for me and has taught me every value and morale in my life that carries on to my own children. She will sacrifice her own needs for those of her children/grandchildren. A selfless woman that deserves the up most respect and admiration.
