When I was on a diet last year, I had a lot of protein. Here is how it went for me.

In the morning, I would have a protein drink and a piece of fruit. Two hours later, I would have another piece of fruit. Two hours later for lunch, I would have a salad with chicken and Kraft Free dressing. Two hours after that I would have a protein bar. For dinner two hours later, I would have about 3 ounces of beef, fish, or chicken (no pork was allowed), one serving of vegetables, and a piece of wheat bread with Promise Lite spread.

Basically, I ate every two hours starting at about 9 in the morning. I lost 35 pounds on this diet to be at the weight I need to be at. Good luck and best wishes on your diet.

it really depends what you're on the diet for, but i'll give you a few tips: the less processed, the better. this means fresh fruit and veg (NOT canned, the loaded with calorie laden sryup!) stay away from white carbs, brown rice, bread, wholemeal pasta is great cause you need carbs for energy. pasta is awesome, it fills you up, but stick to tomato-based sauces, cheesy creamy ones are full of empty calories (calories with no or little nutritional benefit). garden/green salads are excellent so long as you keep the dressing on the side, or use fat free dressing, or you could just squeeze a bit of lemon or lime juice over it. trim the fat off meat BEFORE cooking it, and as for chicken, make sure its skinless, there's are lot of empty calories in the skin. don't skip meals, and snack on fresh fruit or nuts in between.and remember that just that cause you're on a diet, doesn't mean that food should be boring. and drink lots of water, it helps to flush out toxins which can cause your body to hold on to extra weight. fluid retention occurs when there's not enough water in your system, so it holds on to it.
