if his hair looks nice in a ponytail keep doing it like that.before i cut my son hair it used to be real curly and long so i use to put it in a high pony tail.

Depends how old your son is.
If he is 5 or 6, he is probably just having fun.
If he is 14 or 15, he has a crush on the person doing his hair, or has issues with self-identity.

I play with my sons hair often, although I only put a small elastic in it. He doesn't like it, but he loves to brush mine. You son probably likes the sensation, I know I do.

my son is three and fro time to time we do it. he looks like a pretty little girl. he has a loong shaggy hair cut. When we do play around like that I always make a point to tell him this is how little girls wear there hair. Theyre just curious and role playing
