My favorite type right now is espresso, favorite brand right now is Starbucks. I have to start trying other brands. I just buy the bean and grind it. I have an old grinder, which works better than the new ones. I cook it in a french press. You can buy a french press at Macy's, they are very inexpensive, easy to use, easy to clean and make delicious coffee. Specialty coffee stores sometimes have them. I don't know if Barney's stills exits, but they would be located in the mall. They have great coffees, too. Don't ever buy one of those drip coffee makers. They are really no good and ruin the taste of coffee. One other thing, I use distilled water because it is the purest form of water and have found that it really does make a difference in the taste of your coffee. I am just really picky about my coffee, although, I do like to try different types and brands all the time. Espresso is a very oily bean and probably not that healthy. I never get headaches, though, and heard somewhere that caffeine wards off headaches.

Depends where you are for favorite coffee I visited the Philippines and fell in Love with a coffee on Cebu island. Can't find it anyplace else.
As for a favored coffee vanilla whole bean is very good almost any brand.
As for instant coffee Folgers or Maxwell House is a good morning starter.

I don't go out to get coffee everyday but I crave it everyday! I make Folger's French Vanilla with either Coffeemate's Vanilla Cinnamon Creamer or Creme Brulee Creamer with 2 packets of stevia sweetener. It is sooooo good. Very creamy and sweet but still a coffee taste and way cheaper than Starbucks!

For the novice coffee drinker, you should try something that is sweet. My daughter likes caramel machiattos, which is espresso (single shot), steamed milk, vanilla syrup, and caramel.
For regular coffee, I recommend Starbuck's Breakfast Blend, it is mild compared to many others. Remember, to ask the barrista to leave room for creamer!

Folgers french vanilla coffee and either Coffeemate vanilla cinnamon creme or creme brulee. Coffeemate creamer can make any coffee taste good (even the crap that is brewed in employee break rooms).i keep some (powdered) in my locker at work!
