People interpret the motives of interventionalists differently. An interventionalist like L. Ron Hubbard or Mohammad can be completely ineffective at the fault of no one. So if I don't accept Jesus Christ does that reflect my background or do I want to go to Hell?

I wouldn't say it's your choice to not follow Islam because you weren't raised Muslim.

If the Good News has been presented to you correctly, & you reject God & not believe in His Son Jesus Christ, then it is your fault.

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of one sin, not believing in Jesus Christ the Lord.

To see the Kingdom of God you must be born again (of the Spirit).

Those that go to hell are those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ. They become satan's messengers. Liars, false accusers, thiefs & murderers. Though many times people hit rock bottom in their personal lives, then they call on the name of the Lord & the Lord hears them & saves them.

It is true not to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you will burn in hell.
I'm glad that you are concerned, I feel like the Holy Spirit is trying to make you realize the truth. I nor anyone else can do anything but give you comfort, say nice things that may make you feel better, you can't hide, I KNOW THAT GOD LOVES YOU AND HE KNOWS THAT YOU HAVE THESE QUESTIONS. You are just another human, and we all do. But the great news is He has given us all the means to satisfy our questions, the HOLY BIBLE!! His own words. The answers to all our questions. I know that people feel that the Bible is full of errors, but it is not. It is the Word of God and it is error free. Publisher's have made an occasional error, such as the bible called the wicked bible because when they listed the Ten Commandments, they put Thou shalt commit adultery instead of Thou shalt not commit adultery.
But if you accept Christ, get involved in a good Christian Church and fellowship with other Christians, you'll receive guidance that will help you.

I am not saying whether or not you should or should not accept Christ... that's for you to decide. I've been involved in several different religions, wicca, LDS, Islam, etc. and my Savior still works for me, it may not be what you wanted to hear, but if Christ IS the Son of God and such... and all that "Bible stuff" you hear about is true, perhaps you should reflect on that, it is best to be prepared, not to save just to save yourself, but to truly learn WHO he is. Then decide for yourself. That does not mean convert or go to hell... it means being open to the possibility to ALL truth. For EVERY religion contains truth. But people don't just gain true faith with their minds, but with there hearts... I don't believe that if you don't accept him your going to hell directly... simply because Christ didn't die to prove a point and condemn the world... he did it because he had that MUCH love to lay down his life that we would understand what great strength comes from the power called love. I believe that Christ already KNOWS you personally, and accepts you as you ARE and that is why he died for you... and when that great day comes, he will accept you, for had you known him if given a chance to accept him on your own instead of having it rammed down your throat... anybody with those tactics is NOT a TRUE Christian. I have accepted Mohammad was indeed a prophet... I agree that there is ONE, Alah, and none other beside him, but I still believe that Christ was indeed his Son, because NO ONE goes through what He went through, just to prove a point. Also, keep in mind if you are asking this question to get an honest answer you should probably accept it for what truth it does bare whether you agree with it or not. I'm not saying abandon whatever your faith is, if you have one... I'm saying keep an open heart. That is all-- feel free to contact me, if you have further questions, I will never judge you, for I know what is like to be judged and such... well, good luck friend with what ever you decide.

The way you pose your question here interests me, because it leaves several possibilities open.

First, that part of you really wants to accept Jesus as your Christ and Savour, and therefore you are beating yourself up about this as a perceived failure. Yet if it is a failure, why wouldn't Jesus forgive you if you chose to repent? Then why worry?

Is Hell more real to you than Jesus' love? I wonder at the motivations of those who convert because of a "fire and brimestone" theology. Not that I'm denying there's a hell, but I wonder how sincere is a love of G-d or Jesus that is based on getting into heaven, avoiding hell and its punishments.

What ever happened to following Jesus' teachings because they make sense? Because Jesus is the Man and the God. Because Jesus shows us a beautiful and even rational way out of this mess?

"Only one Commandment I give you, that you love one another."

"Love thine enemies."

"Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone!"

That L. Ron Hubbard or Mohammad would be inneffective is a perception which excludes the reasoning in the minds of those who choose not to follow them. If you come and show me how I can set my garden in order, it is because I've listened to you. Of course, if I don't listen to you, you can either see it as your fault, or as my fault for not accepting your advice.

What would your background have to do with not accepting Jesus? We see that his ideas were accepted by not only fishermen, prostitutes, tax collectors, and others, but by estate owners, housewives, and centurions. Why, Christianity was greatly aided by Constantine's decision to embrace it, even if in a way that made it syncretic with the Roman and other European paganisms.

So, no, your background has sheet to do with it. Your mind, your heart, your whole being, have much more to do with it.

As none of us really has a very clear understanding of Hell, or if so, very few do, then I very much doubt you understand what it means to want to go there. I invite you to be real instead, and give Love a chance. The Love of a God who loved the world so much, He gave his only Son.

I still ponder the meaning and significance of this. It is one of the greatest mysteries shared with us, and one well worth pursuing. Seek Him, and not dissension. Then you will be closer to accepting Jesus, and you will not worry that He has not accepted you. For indeed God and Jesus has accepted us. He's only waiting for us to confirm and accept Him back.

See you on the sunny side, litle brother.

I don't think that "interventionalist" is an actual word. It sounds fabricated to me. I suppose one Could define it as "one who intervenes", (being the root word) "Interventionalist" is jargon, which I take to mean that you, in some way, think that you are better than anyone else here. Define what an "interventionalist" is, then come down from your lofty location and become as one with the rest of us mud swilling humans.

No one can intervene for you.
Deuteronomy 24:16 Fathers shall not be put to death for their children nor the children shall be put to death for their fathers- each is to die for his own sin.
Ezekiel 18:3-4 "As surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, you will no longer quote the proverbs in Israel. For every soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son- both alike belong to me. the soul who sins is the one who will die.
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the sins of the father, nor the father will share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him., and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged aginst him.
That was written before the time of Jesus in the Old Testament, what right does Jesus have to alter that law and everyone to be dependent on him? How could Jesus claim interventions for the law that has been declared by God and said for as long as He lives.? Is that not a clear bigotry on the part of the religions? Jesus himself said he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it, not one letter nor the least stroke of pen shall be omitted in the law. You have the very strong right not to accept anyone as your savior. Have no fear.

I grew up in an athiest household and still found God on my own. Noone taught me but i just flet something was missing and i felt my heart being pulled at when i went by a church. I don't think anyone wants to go to hell. I advise this to you. Read the Bible, what have you got to lose? Not accepting Christ can reflect your background but not always.

If you really knew what hell was you would not want to go to hell. Yes it is your fault that you don't accept Jesus.
Here's a verse from the book of Romans in the new Testament that lays it all out.
I'm giving you the verse in context, because alot is being said here that's really important, but the main verse that I want to bring your attention to is verse 1:20 which says there is no excuse for not having faith in God (specifically in Jesus Christ as your savior). The context is about faith.

Romans 1:17For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous shall live by faith." 1:18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 1:19because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them. 1:20For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse. 1:21Because, knowing God, they didn't glorify him as God, neither gave thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

And in verse 1:21 it says why it's a sin.
God created Man for a purpose, and if you don't fulfill that purpose you are broken, and wasting the air that you breathe.
To make matters worse Christ gave you a way to be saved, but you don't accept that. That is a slap in the face to God Almighty.

Everyone makes a choice to accept Christ or not to. You have to answer to God in the end. If you don't accept Him before you die, then yes you will go to Hell. These men were mere men. They died and never came back. Jesus died and came back. Who would you follow?

You know - I would not say "fault". I would encourage you to not listen to any of these people ---- Just do your own research and find out what is right for you. Examine the beliefs of every major faith and I bet you will find one that calls to you above the others. Sometimes soul-searching is the best way. So tune out all the chatter and trust in yourself.
