I am a teacher and I'm sick of these trendy names:
Rylie, Taylor, Tyler, Madison, Kaylie, Kylie, Kayla, Hailey, Emily, Emma, Amanda

Seriously, those are trendy and boring.
I like strong, tried and true names.

For a girl I'd name my daughter Felicia, Sophia, Michelle, Monica, Katie,

I also like names that are a little off like Ruby

Boys are harder. You want a strong name that would take them into manhood. Some names like Cory are just not manly enough.

I like Matthew, Joseph, John, Seth, Luke. Those are biblical names and they always have been strong.

Congrats on your news!

Congrats to you. I had a boy in April and he is Brayden, so kinda partial to that. I also love the name Jackson for a boy, but it really depends on your last name. Lennon was in my top 5 also (so cool if you're a Lennon fan).

Girls: I've love Emma, Paige, Brielle, Corinna

Good luck to you!!! Just hope for a healthy baby!!!

A lot depends on your last name. Nothing wrong with naming your son Charlie, John Wayne or Lee Harvy unless your last name is Manson, Gacy or Oswald

Girl: Lillian Amber (pretty, classic first name)

Giving a child a name is such a privilege- it should be only the Dad and Mom... and maybe the siblings who should think about a name. My Mom for example always let our relatives influence her... I got lucky and got away with Michelle... my sis ended up with Rapunzel (Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair).
So, this is why I think you shouldn't ask other people.

I could tell you the best names I like but they probably won't be the best names for you. All I can say and what works for me is name them after a loved one or family member.
