Well, I dated this boy for about a month, and now we're boyfriend and girlfriend. We've only talked on the phone a couple of times. We usually communicate on instant messenger, but there's just something about instant messaging I don't like. Sometimes you can misinterpret what the other person meant because you're only seeing what they say, not hearing it.
So yeah, I really wish we'd start talking on the phone instead, or at least talk on the phone MORE.
How do you feel about communication in a relationship? Do you think instant messaging is a good or bad way to communicate? Also, how could I go about explaining this to him?
Also, my last relationship was an online relationship, and I did nothing but instant message that guy for 2 years. Perhaps that's why I dislike it so much.

Yes, it is 100 times better. I don't feel like I'm talking to the same person. I love hearing his voice and laughter. :)

ive had the same problem, just start calling him, like just say you couldnt sign online,
or tell him to just start calling you,
talking on the phone is 100 times better than talking on instant messanger,
( sorry about the spelling, i just got 3 stiches in my index finger and its hard to type )
