Yowza - you don't know anything about systems configuration but you want to dual boot.... hmmmmmm.....
I believe you will have to either use a third party software like Partition Magic to create a new partition that you can install Linux but personally, I probably would just reformat from scratch, create separate partitions, install linux, install windows and at that point, windows should ask you if you want to dual boot......

The answer is easy.
Place the Windows CD in the CD drive and turn on the computer. It SHOULD automatically boot from the CD. Follow the directions, and one of the eventual options will be to format the existing linux partition. I assume you want to get rid of boring old linux, so say yes and continue to follow the directions.
About 45min to an hour later, you will be booting a new Windows install.

Since u dont know anything about your computer configuration, it is best that you first learn how to make HDD partitions and how to format them with different filesystems. only then you can proceede with linux/windows installation. The installer of linux as well as windows both come with a utility to create and format the partitions you will not need any other program. The formatting utilities are self intitutive. But important thing is you understand the linux filesystem partitining into "/" (root) "swap" and "boot" partitions.

In order to install Windoze on a previously Linux system you need to clear the boot record with FDISK /MBR from a bootable DOS diskette, then run the Windoze setup.
