Even on blood thinners you can get one, just make sure you eat just before getting the tattoo done, this will help keep your blood sugars up so you won't pass out. It's the same as alcohol though, most artists suggest not getting tattoo'd while alcohol is in your body.. back to the blood being thinner. I wouldn't if I were you.

AHa, I know I know!
My dad was on blood thinners and wanted to get a tattoo. The doc said, not a good idea. (Of course) The tattoo artist said not a good idea, but I'll do a small one. Depends on what you want. His tattoo (writing and a heart) faded/got fuzzy around the edges- not sure if it was because he was older or from the coumadin. So that's something to think about.
It really depends on why you're on blood thinners. If it's to prevent stroke/heart attack...I wouldn't stop taking the drug. Just please, ask your doctor. Doc's nowadays are less likely to lecture you and are more likely give you a real answer.

You may not die, but you will have to pay a visit to the ER. Blood thinners make it almost impossible for your blood to clot. Would you really want to risk that? Try a henna tattoo first. You may find the idea of a permanent mark on your body not so appealing or necessary.

not a huge whole body one but small or medium yes. the bleeding caused by tattooing is not as much as you think but the question are you healthy enough besides the thinners to get one in the first place.

I don't know an artist that will do it, and it really can be dangerous. Do you need a tattoo that badly that you would risk anything?
Get a henna tattoo for the summer.

Purposely puncturing your skin while on blood thinners is just a really terrible idea. You should consult your physician first.

I am not 100% sure, but I'll bet it's not such a good idea. Ask a physician or call/go up to a drugstore and see if they have the answer.

I doubt you would die, but most respectable tattoo artists are required by law to inquire about medications. You need to be honest with them, they can guide you.
