It would be for an adult and I'm trying to budget after spending a lot on the actual costume.

well you could buy a mop and dye it red with that stuff you buy at the grocery. I think its called rit. that would make the perfect hair for this anny doo

OK a serious answer for you take an old style cap you know the kind the truckers where with the plastic back and just a logo on the front, then take some red yarn. Take the yarn and cut double the length that you are wanting the hair to be. fold the yarn in half and thread the folded half in thru one of the holes in the hat take the bottom two ends and thread them thru the folded end and pull creating two strands of hair continue this all thru the hat until it is full and then you can style the home made wig as desired.

You can get a Raggedy Ann wig from Shopzilla for $13.99. You will spend more then that making it your self. Dying a mop red will not work,it will come out pink.

An old fashioned calico blue dress can be found from your attic or latest generation. Loosly fitting is all right. But trust me, it's not that hard to find that kinda stuff ina thrift store, or discount store. As for the wig, a widely popular clown wig in red would still do.

Buy the old mop heads, a few of them. Dye them with red RIT fabric dye. When dry, create a wig by stringing strands together using a needle and thread

Hi!
Go and buy a swimming cap or a shower cap. Buy some red or orange "Rit" dye. Buy some string mop replacements. Dye the string mops and make sure to rinse them very very well. After they dry arrange them on the cap. When you decide how you want them to look then glue them on and it should work! Or you can simply glue red or orange yarn onto the caps.

I did this once myself so it'll work but it takes patience.
Go to a beauty supply place and get the rubber cap for pulling hair thru for streaking (or buy a rubber swimming cap) but you will have to punch the holes in it.
Buy orange yarn and cut 2' strands (lots of them) you'll just have to keep feeding them into the (two) holes half way and let them fold over.........when it looks full enough, you'll wear it over your hair and it's PERFECT and it won't fall off.........

take red yarn and tie them all together. make it the shape of your head. keep going till you have it in the shape of a wig. hope this helps!
