Not to worry about the political situation here. Life's been very normal, even on the day of the coup! Except for the sight of some tanks and armed soldiers, life goes on! Go ahead, enjoy Bangkok.

Saw pictures of tourists that were actually in Thailand at the time of the coup posing with soldiers and the international paper with the Bannner Headline Peaceful Coup. If they can pose like that it can't be too bad.

I also looked on the US state department's travel warnings page and they have nothing listed for Thailand so I'd say you're safe. Go for it and have a great trip!!!!

If you can find the way from the new airport to centre of Bangkok. - Then it's OK. Just come.
You can always get a pic taken of yourself and some soldiers.
But.
anywhere else on this planet must be more beautiful to visit. so why don't you go there instead.?

No problem at all! 100% SAVE. I am staying in Laos but is only about 7KM away from Thai International border. We got the most up dated news and we used to go 2Thai as well. Life is as normal as b4 and tourists are seem coming back to Thailand. Many tourist saw coming to Laos via Thai too.

U r worry-free to come and have a nice holiday in Thai. If u have time, try to come and enjoy in Laos as well...

have a nice trip...
