L'oreal Professionel .texture line, I use the volume one (but I use both the shampoo and conditioner) and it is amazing. It doesn't leave residue like cheap conditioner and it leaves your hair weightless and silky.

Also, I used to use Body Full (both the shampoo and conditioner) by Redken, which was also pretty awesome and also gave great body.

If you blow-dry your hair straight, NOT scrunched, I recommend Smooth Down anti-frizz serum by Redken-- one to two pumps, smoothed over and through wet hair before you blow dry it. It cuts down on frizz, which can be a problem with not-so-silky hair, and makes your hair look and feel smoother, if you use the right amount.

Okay here is how it goes. I have extremely thick ethnic curly hair. Try Potion 9 (get it at the salon), then put frizz ease syrum (the purple bottle) in your hair distribute it first. Then do your hair curly or straight. If you want it super straight use a big round bristle brush (with tons of bristles) and blow dry with high heat while wet. Sometimes when I have time, I throw my hair in a low ponytail and wait for it to half dry. Then I add a little more syrum and blowdry it. Make sure once a week to use the frizz ease deep conditioning treatment and smoothing cream (every now and then when you blowdry, it will lessen frizz on rainy days and weigh it down). It gets expensive, so every now and then I use Pink ( you can get that at any thrift store/walmart/family dollar...).

i used to have pretty coarse hair (it is wavy and thick), but then i tried the garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner. they made an amazing impact on conditioning my hair and made it soft and silky.

if you use the conditioner, i suggest you try the shampoo with it; both of them can be bought at costco or walmart for low prices

just remember that, if your hair is wavy or curly and you don't straighten it, you should use product lines designed just for that hair type. i've heard a lot of great things about garnier's curly hair line products too

good luck finding a conditioner you love!

Finese or Pantene has wax or something like it. It will weigh your hair down but it feels good if you have frizzy hair. Too much causes build up.

I love Joico or Redken but it's really expensive. Paul Mitchell's leave in conditioner is cheap and good. It won't damage your hair either.

Totally try this one out!!! Suave Coconut Conditioner...Cheap, but leave your hair sooo silky smooth. My Hairdresser, Brad, recommended it. ( Brad works at a Jonathan salon in LA ie TV show)

I am asian, so my hair is coarse and thick.

I absolutely LOVE Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum. It's clear and kind of thick....you put it on after you shower. It decreases drying time (that can damage hair more) and makes it sooo soft.....even when you wash it the next day, it's softer than when you don't use it. I also like it because it doesn't make my hair feel heavy or limp.

Good Luck

Biolage works pretty good, but can be expensive. I just started using Herbal Essenses' new products and I am pretty impressed so far. Pantene works well, but their products tend to leave a lot of build-up in my hair, which makes it oily and dull after prolonged use.

Redken butter treatment....if your hair is naturally frizzy there is no conditioner that is going to work miracles.....you need to buy a smoothing serum and flatiron your hair

I am vry happy with Fructis products. my hair is dried out from too much coloring and Fructis shampoo and conditioner leave it looking and feeling soft.
