Did not we have this questions 3 days in a row now?
Same answer, if we pull out before the newly elected Democratic government stabilizes i.e. military & police can protect country then their goverment will be over run by terrorist. These terrorist for the majority are not Iraqi. All deaths would be for nothing if Democratic goverment is overthrown forcefully.
They can vote in any goverment they want, they chose Democracy.

The United States originally fought Iraq for two reasons. The first reason was to show the Islamic world that if they kill American's on our own soil we'll conquer them and bleed them...of course because we are too nice to be obvious about it we use the Euphemism of freeing them. The second reason was we'd hoped that by turning Iraq into a stable democracy that it would have the same positive effect that West Germany had on the the fall of communism. We had hoped that by showing the Islamic world there was an alternative to despotism and Islamic theocracy that progressive pluralistic democracies could make them much happier.
Now we are fighting in Iraq because A)If we pull out it will become an Iran and we'll be in deep crap. B)Iraq's problems could spiral out of control to the rest of the region and negatively affect the price of oil crashing the world economy...its not just about money...its about making sure wage earners from America to China, have a paycheck for their families.
Thats why we're fighting. We fought because hoped for a better future and to "fix" the arabic world. Now we are fighting in the hopes of staving off total disaster, in the hopes that Iraq can really become a progressive pluralistic democracy? Will it work? No, those primitive towel headed savages can't even refine their own oil, let alone understand develop a culture condusive to democracy. They're primitive savages, whether we want to admit it or not.

what i think is..we are fixing a hole we dug after world war two by giving the jews land(I side with the jews)but before this muslim and jew lived side by side.Peace was almost agreed by both between muslim and jews during the early eighties(ANWAR SADAT and PRIME MINISTER BEGIN) but the new radical muslim faction headed by ARAFAT started the evil movement that grew into the American hating people you see today, they murdered SADAT in hoping that Egypt wouldnt make peace but they failed, then they went to hi-jacking airplanes, terrorizing jews around the mediterainian and eventually the United States for backing Israel(Which was probably Saddam Hussiens next conquest.)if you remember during the first war he launched scud missles at Israel even thuogh we(the UNITED STATES)were the ones pushing him out of Kuwait. Im sure we havent been told a whole lot but with our left wing media...would you???

Iraq was part of a strategy to squeeze Iran from Iraq to the west and Afganistan to the east. In the big picture Iran was always the goal. Our Armed Forces had hoped they had been farther along by now but we must see this through if were gonna get a foothold in the Islamic World.

the war is over. WE won that in 2 weeks. There are terrorists now coming in from other countries simply to undue what we are trying to do and to kill U.S. service members. Our service members are being forced to act like police officers, instead of warriors thus tying their hands. But where do you want all those terrorists to go on Friday night, or Saturday certainly not a football game or a Mall. Better to kill them there then to fight them in the streets of America

The same reason we faught WW11. They want the world but they have no values. Even the Japs had honor, these guys will kill little kids to save them selves, if you really want to fight them here in NY I can deal with that because NY has more guns than the Army but the rest of us think it is OK to kill them there.

I was told we got to beat them into submission so we can get our oil from under their sand. Is it true that the CIA started the Sunnis fighting the Shiites and now we are just waiting around to pick up the pieces. Oldest trick in the book. looks like its working too. any way i need gas for my car so I hope we win

Because they are trapped by a more determined enemy. They should have listened to the voices of reason before they started the war.
