A dual feelings of awesome & sorrow. Awed at how much human had acheived with sheer labour and at the same time, deeply sadden with the immense human sacrifices & lost of lives to build the wall.

I thought it was truly an amazing sight to see. In all honesty though it goes so high up into the mountains I had to hold onto the railing and look at my feet when I climbed the steps. Then I would stop to turn around, still holding onto the railing to look at the views from different points.

On my return Journey to Beijing I will most definitely have to walk the wall again only the stretch that is across from Baldaling.

I was thinking what was that evil aura when I realised that human lives were sacrificed to build it. Woooo.......
I felt like I was climbing the wall because the stairs were nearly vertical.

I felt so tiny and so awe inspired. It is a beautiful work of art. China is a fascinating exotic country.
