I'm torn between two middle names. I will not share the first name. Sorry. But it is under wraps until the baby is actually born. I realize it is difficult to answer this without knowing the first name but please do your best. Which name is better--Katherine or Sophia?

This is actually my third child. My other two are boys. With my first we made the mistake of using our two favorite boy names for his first and middle names. Then when I was pregnant with my second I was kicking myself in the butt for having not saved one of the names for the second baby. Oh well.

I like Sophia. I understand you not wanting to give away the first name. :) Just make sure whatever middle name you pick, the last syllable doesn't rhyme with the last syllable of the first name. (For example, if your chosen first name is Maria, you would want to go with Katherine. Maria Katherine is better than Maria Sophia. :) Or, if the first name is Madeline, Madeline Sophia is better than Madeline Katherine.)

I like Sophia MUCH better, however, if the first name happens to begin with an "S," I'd have to go with Katherine. I do not like a first and middle name to begin with the same letter. That goes for the last name too.

I think it depends on if the first is a traditional name or a little more trendy. If it is a traditional I would go Katherine, a little more trendy then Sophia. If I had to pick one now I would say Sophia. My little baby cousin is Bella Sophia and like all babies she is beautiful

Katherine is better because it sounds great with almost every name for example maria katherine, jessica katherine. Katherine is
sophisticated sounding whereas sophia sounds kind of plain with most names. Congrats on the upcoming birth of your baby and good luck

Sophia is better, it is close to my daughter's name, she is Safiyo. Why not tell the first name? It is not like we are planning to take it from you! Well either way Good Luck!
