I hate exercising. I totally loath it but I know I must do it for health reasons. I get terribly, clinically depressed just thinking about going for a walk, working out, bicycle, treadmill, swimming, etc. Moreover, where I live it's too hilly for bicycles and the scenery is truely boring. I need to figure out a way to make myself like it (like I learned to make myself enjoy classes I thought I didn't like in college).

Exercise doesn't haven't to mean a formal work out. Find activities you already enjoy that get your heart rate going. If you haven't found a sport or activity you like yet resolve to try something new every week until you do.

I'm like that too hate mundane boring things where you dont' move like on a treadmill your running no where fast . the gym is hard cause you feel clostaphobic and stuck inside four walls. I would suggest making it fun and switching it up. I like anything outdoors and atheletic so pick up baseball soccer volly ball or some kind of sport. so you dont' feel your exercising as your having fun. How about squash thats fun too . point is to find something that interest you and join a team so your out having fun and its not boring. also keeps you competitive. good luck

I know this is an old question, but a game like Pokemon Go where you get out and find pokemon to catch and go to gyms is a good idea. I'm still a kid but when I get to college I'm going to have a regiment of pokemon catching every other day or so. Gotta catch em all!

Combine it with something you like. I hate running, lifting weights and pretty much most forms of physical exercise, but I know I love nature, so I started hiking more.I love taking pictures so I hike to places like waterfalls to have a means to an end. I love the water, so I kayak regularly. Involving other people helps too. I take my 4 yr old cousin geocaching. My dogs go with me and it helps to think that they need it, too.

You have to find something you love. For example, I just discovered how fun soccer is, so now I practice a lot and it gives me motivation to run and get fit. You might like walking, jumping rope, surfing, jogging, or even bike riding. Just try different things and see what works best.

Try excersizing with a friend. That way if you don't show, you will feel like you have let someone else down and not just yourself plus you won't be as bored because you have someone to talk to.

For your indoor work out, try recording your favorite show. Only watch it when you working out, that way it will make it more interesting.
