hi. i just stood up and i heard a crack or pop noise in my ankle now it hurts. also when i got home from dance yesterday the bottom of my foot hurt. I think i pulled a muscle and that may explain the pain in the bottom of my foot but now my ankle hurts when i walk on it. can any one help me by telling me what may be wrong?

The most common things (assuming you didn't twist or otherwise acutely injure the ankle) would be tendonitis or a stress fracture. Both are usually the result of overuse. An x-ray may be normal; if the pain persists, an MRI may be required for diagnosis. At any rate, try Ibuprofen (assuming you can take it and it doesn't upset your stomach), and give your ankle some rest. Good luck.

Change your diet to add more fruits and vegetables. In the meantime go to your local(if you have one) health food store and see if they have organic cayenne pepper powder anywhere from 100,000 to 250,000 scoville units. mix about 4 or 5 tablespoons in a jar of extra virgin olive oil. When the cayenne powder is well blended smear some on the hurt areas and softly rub it in until it becomes tacky. Cover it with loose gauze and let it stay there over night. Wash the affected areas with soft soap, rinse and pat dry. The pain should for all intensive purposes be gone. If you can put off dancing for a few days and repeat the process every night you should be totally pain free and will have healed yourself at the same time. Good Luck and rest. Also remember to drink plenty of bottled water to flush the poisons that accumulated with the swelling.

What may be wrong is that you have not gone to a doctor to have it checked out. We, for the most, are not doctors and even doctors can't make a firm diagnosis with out seeing it and examing it.

You might have sprained your ankle, or, you could have this thing my mom had for a year. It's a sharp pain in your heal everytime you step down on it.
