I have a 65 Mustang Fastback 289. The Shelby was fantastic, huge grunt of a car.
They are not made like that anymore

Hell yeah, that is one badass vehicle.. l love that and the 1970 Plymouth Barrracuda.
Top Speed:132 mph
0-60: 7.2 seconds
1/4 Mile: 15.5 seconds
My favorite ride is a totally different animal though: the Mclaren F1

I had the opportunity to drive a GT500 in 1975. ..GASP!..
I have never driven a car since with so much torque. Got it sideways at least five times (without trying).
Also one of the best looking muscle cars ever made.

The 1967 Shelby's ugliness was exceeded only by the sheer stupidity of allowing petroleum jelly-headed morons to operate them near people. The Shelby, like the Barracuda, the Nova, the Trans-am etc., were the the 60s and 70s equivalent of metal-Viagra, artificial penisparts for slack-jawed minimen who, with no normal release valve, were left helpless as their backed-up testosterone overwhelmed their tiny brains.

She is a bad one all right but the 427 Shelby Cobra has to be the baddest, aluminum body and all.

No, I don't know the performance specs, but it was a bad-*** ride! "Shelby" was the designers last name. His given, or first name, is "Carroll."
I think that inspired him to create such bad-*** cars! He succeeded!
