i will be running the 2007 miami marathon and i would like to stay in a hotel for a week ,but i am very short of money

Sorry to say, but anytime there are events going on in a certain city the hotels will raise there prices quite a bit. Because they know people need places to stay. Best bet is to maybe try and stay outside of where the event is. Depending on what your budget is will determine what you will or won't find. Miami hotels though aren't very inexpensive.

Try the southbeachgroup.com hotels. Rates, depending on the season, can be as low as around $100 per night which is pretty darn cheap for Miami standards. I like the Chesterfield and the WhiteLaw. All of the hotels have free shuttle bus service from/to Miami airport.

Try looking up an Extended Stay or a Grand Stay, they have really inexpensive weekly rates! And tell them you are there to run in the marathon, they might give you a discount!

Hmm i think there is a radison hotel there they are pretty nice idk how much it is though try looking on tavelocity.com
