Without attempting to prove that God exists, and without attempting to prove that Jesus is the Messiah, I can still present facts to show which came first.

Jews had their ancient writings which predicted the coming of the Messiah.
Therefore, it is a FACT that Judaism CLAIMED to predict the messiah.

Christians believe that, when Jesus arrived, he was the Messiah.
Therefore, it is a FACT that Christians CLAIMED that Jesus is the Messiah.
Therefore, first Judaism, then Christianity.
Then you, and your inanity.

If you truly can't remember, then what difference does it make?
Believe what you want, and change your beliefs as new ideas influence you.
Religions are like boogers. Everyone is entitled to pick their own.
But your friends and neighbors also are entitled to say that they are either amused or disgusted by what they see you willingly swallow!

Jesus was a Jew. That's the religion he was born into. So, Judaism came before Christianity. Facts? The Old Testament is older than the New Testament!

nicely, the question is slightly improper. Christianity is the thought in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Catholics have faith that, so Catholics ARE Christians. Which got here first, Catholics or Protestants? Which got here first, Orthodox or Catholics? those are better questions. As for those ignorant souls who don't think Catholicism replaced into around from the very initiating, St. Ignatius, a disciple of St. John the Apostle, for sure states in his letter to the Smyrnaeans, that "the place the bishop is, there is Jesus Christ and the place Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." (This replaced into better than two hundred years until now Constantine, Nicea, et al). Catholicism and Orthodoxy have been united for over a millenia, and it may be approximately yet another a million/2 a millenia later until now something such as Protestantism arose. those are info of historic past.

Judaism. Then along came the Christ followers who were fed up with the rules and regulations of Judaism and came up with thier own...demonizing the Jews in the process. Then along came Muhammed who rewrote the Christian story and wove his own...reasserting heavy spiritual regulation. Many centuries later Joseph Smith came along and started from scratch by plagerizing from everything that had come before and adding his own imagination. And today we have hundreds of Christian sects, dozens of Muslim sects, and quite a few Judaic sects, all proclaimning to be the TRUTH.

And it just gets more complicated when you add Scientology to the mix of madness...

Judaism started as an oral tradition passed down for many years until it started to be written down in the 15th century BCE (BC for you people unhip to science and reality...hehe). Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism; it believes that a Semitic man named Jesus who lived app. 4BCE-3?BCE in the Galilean area, fulfilled the prophecies about a "messiah".
Jews do not accept Jesus of Nazareth as the prophetic messiah that will bring a Kingdom on Earth for them (Judaism is looking for a physical kingdom whereas Christianity has interpreted that to mean a figurative kingdom in your heart) because he failed to do so during his lifetime. The literal interpretation of the word "messiah" in the book of Daniel, is meant to describe a son of man, thought to be an earthly king of the Davidic line who would rule someday over Israel - not a divine "son of god" that will save humanity from the "devil" or "hell" (which is another invention of Christianity that is never mentioned in the Hebrew Tanakh)
Early Christian redactors created a lineage for Jesus that would fulfill the prophecies, combined that with his charity and miracle work, and most importantly death & resurrection, to get the messiah that the prophets of the Old Testament had for tolled. His supposedly divine origins were not exploited until after his death, and by people who did not study or directly follow him like Paul. Jesus did constantly refer to himself as the "son of man", which has both apocalyptic and secular undertones - we are not sure which he is alluding to.

Just remember that Judah was the son of Jacob, the grandson of Abraham. Jesus came centuries [millenia, actually] later, after a long line of prophets, kings, and priests.

I really dont know, I know that Christ was with the Father at the beginning of creation, Because no human could keep the 10 commandments Christ came to fulfill the law, so this is the new covenant. By the death of Christ, the Holy spirit was poured forth on all who repented and believed in Him, therefore this is the new covenant that God writes His laws on peoples hearts and minds who have the love of Christ in their heart, as he is the end of the law.
