Absolutely! Make sure you don't have an evil twin....seen cases where one twin went to jail and it was their twin that committed the crime!

A search on "identical twins DNA" led us into a fascinating world of genetics, cloning, and the old nature vs nurture debate.
As we soon learned, identical twins, formed when one fertilized egg splits, are the only people in the world with identical DNA. Fraternal twins, on the other hand, are formed when two different eggs are fertilized. Genetically speaking, fraternal twins are no closer than normal siblings, sharing only about 50% of their genes.

Although identical twins have the same genotype, or DNA, they have different phenotypes, meaning that the same DNA is expressed in different ways.

Traits determined by phenotype, such as fingerprints and physical appearance, are the result of "the interaction of the individual¿s genes and the developmental environment in the uterus." Thus, a DNA test can't determine the difference between identical twins, while a simple fingerprint can.

They have exactly the same DNA sequence because they came from the same one cell! Identical twins come from one egg that was fertilized by one sperm, so they are really identical down to the DNA. Of course every cell has a different molecule of DNA, but they should be exactly the same DNA sequence. The only exceptions would be the small mutations that pop up in some of your cells from things like the environment - like uv light from the sun. But those changes would not be more different in two identical twins than they would be in one person!

Yes, identical twins share the same dna. Fraternal twins on the other hand, do not. Identical twins devleoped out of the same egg/sperm and then divided into two fetuses. While fraternal twins developed from two different egg/sperm.

yes identical twins do share the same dna. fraternal twins do not.

this can become a problem if you pop up pregnant and have slept with both brothers cause there is no way to prove who the father is. ( sorry watched jerry springer one too many times growing up)

Yes, their dna is the same, but their fingerprints will be different because fingerprints are formed by the amniotic fluid swishing around. I always found that interesting because even "identical twins" are still physically unique.

yes identical twins have the exact same DNA. Basically what happens is that your fertilized egg broke in half during the cell division....so instead of having one baby you will have two identical babies.
