All the women at my work keep asking me why I'm not married, and telling me that I better marry now because if I dont my boyfriend will leave me and I will be all alone. Are these women crazy? They want me to marry him, quit my job and have babies!!!
I'm 24 years old and I feel like if I were to get married my parents would kill me! Am I just immature? Or do you agreet that 24 is too young to get married? I love my boyfriend and we have lived together for a year, and we get along really well and everybody likes him. Is it wrong to say I want to wait?

Do you agree with the old ladies?

They are jealous. Married people tend to try to make others share in their misery...... misery loves company????

In general, 24 is a very good marrying age.

Older generations got married earlier, and that could skew their perspective a little. And it varies from person to person - I've know people who were responsible and mature enough to marry at 15, others that were too selfish and insensitive at 35. It isn't wrong to want to wait, but the clock *is* ticking. Marriage doesn't necessarily mean instant pregnancy and child-rearing - you have lots of options.

Tell them to mind their own damn business. If you really want to marry this guy, you'll do it on your own time. Also, you don't have to quit your job when you get married — this is 2006, for sobbing out loud. How old are these women? If they're of grandmotherly age, just ignore them. They're stuck in the past.

Whatever stage ou are in life..people that are interested in your well being... ususally want to know when the next step is going to happen. Now they ask when will he propose..than whens the wedding... then where are you going on your honeymoon... then when will you have kids. It's just out of curiosity and I'm guessing most of these women are just curious, nosy and otherwise bored. Marry if/when you are ready!

Marry him when you feel the time is right. Hopefully you are paying attention to how your living together is going. No guarantees that it will remain the same once you are married.
