There she did it again

She is just marking her scent on you, in other words, she is claiming you as belonging to her. Cats have sweat gland by their whiskers on their face and they can leave their scent and mark their territory by rubbing their face on whatever they decide to claim as theirs. Obviously your cat likes you, so that is a good thing, you want to be owned by your cat, it's a true sign of being a pet owner.

YOU are now "it"!

actually all she did was "mark" her territory and possessions with the scent from her gland near her mouth.

so now you smell pretty to her and tell all the other cats that you belong to her only.

I notice that with two cats, it's whoever "marks" me first in the morning that gets to "own" me for the rest of the day.....

You might like this little story about Cats:

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided
the answer to "Where do pets come from?"

Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked
with us every day. Now we do not see you anymore. We are lonesome
here and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love
us."

And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that
will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love
for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me.
Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be,
this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you
as I do, in spite of yourselves."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve.

And it was a good animal.

And God was pleased.

And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve, and he
wagged his tail.

And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the
Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal.

And God said, "No problem. Because I have created this new animal
to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a
reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."

And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and
loved them. And they were comforted.

And God was pleased.

And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and
said, "Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They
strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of
adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but
perhaps too well."

And God said, "No problem! I will create for them a companion who
will be with them forever and who will see them as they are. The
companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will
know that they are not always worthy of adoration."

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve.

And Cat would not obey them.

And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded
that they were not the supreme beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility. And they were greatly
improved.

And God was pleased.

And Dog was happy.

And Cat didn't give a sh!t one way or the other.

See, we don't own cats. They own us. You are now officially the slave. She is actually claiming you. You know belong to her. She is being affectionate and could possibly want a little affection when she performs this action. She is scenting you. Know you have a real good chance to train her to do something interesting. Figure eights between your legs while you are walking. You can coax her into doing this with food. Food to cats is like money to us.

unlike dogs, cats have scent glands on the sides of their faces, this is actually how they "leave their scent", by rubbing up against things. dont worry, only other cats can smell the scent they leave

your cat is trying to tell you it loves you, also putting its scent on you to mark you as theirs when doing this the tail will be erect and
you should also hear the cat purring... sometimes they rub back and forth on your leg and meow to tell you they are hungry, just pat the cat don't push it away

in her own little way she is telling you that she loves you and she is rubbing her scent onto you because she wants to let other cats know that you are hers

She is begging for you to either love her...or leave her. Cats are certainly very independant animals, but they do like attention from their loved ones every now and then. Pet her.

She's happy and she loves you. That's pretty normal with cats.
