Conn - W 64 (KO's 15) TF 77 - W pct 83% - KO pct 19% - wins over Lesnevich{2} and Zale - KO'ed by Louis[2] - #57 ranked fighter

Ketchel - W 54 (KO's 49) TF 64 - W pct 84% - KO pct 77% - wins over B. Papke - KO'ed by J.Johnson and B. Papke

Conn was a natural Lt Hwy wy and Ketchel was moving up. Conn was a good enough boxer and he had learned his lesson from his fight with Louis. Irish Billy Conn in a 15 rd decision.

As I've said before Ketchel was an animal. Stanley by KO round 14.

I've only seen part of one Ketchel fight, him vs. Jack Johnson, probably his worst ever. He was obviously a tough and fearless guy, but would he have done as well as Joe Louis as Billy Conn did in their first fight? I can't see it. I think Conn would win an easy unanimous decision.
