Ever thought of this God Never changes his mind he always stays the same why do people say "well times are changing" God is an all knowing all seeing being. He doesn't change his mind. this is from a very reliable source. What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my aword shall not pass away, but shall all be bfulfilled, whether by mine own cvoice or by the dvoice of my eservants, it is the same.

P.S. who can tell me were that is from?

An example: In the book of Exodus, it says God was angry at the Israelites and was about to destroy them but Moses essentially talked God out of it. It says God relented to Moses'. Isn't this and example of God changing his mind?

I think God can and has changed His mind. Before the flood He says that he regretted making man. People will argue that was just a statement but He said it so it must have meant he regretted making man. Saul was called to be king only for him to screw up and God took the call away. Hezekiah was about to die and he asked God for more time to live. God changed His mind and gave him 15 more years. There are numerous things that support this in the bible. The problem is too many people single out scriptures w/o knowing the whole word. That does not mean that God changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Because it was not divinely inspired by God. Different men wrote the bible, all with various and disagreeing beliefs. It had to be decided by the leaders of the church what put in the bible and what wasn't.

My personal theory on the trinity is that the old God of the Old Testament was too cold, cruel, and vengeful, so the Christians had to change his personality. They could not have survived as a religion if they didn't have the firmly rooted history of the Jews so they took their book and added onto it giving any person free to become one of G. They created Jesus, God's son but also God himself. Doing so wouldn't deem worshiping and following Jesus's teachings idolatry or blasphemy. At the same time, God wouldn't be subjected to the demeaning and embarrassing notion that he in fact changed his mind and teachings because he was wrong in the past. How can God be wrong right? So he sort of was reborn as Jesus and died for our sins.

This is sort of like Hinduism, but it works in confusing readers enough so that they can't really analyze the idea that God in fact was too extreme in the past so was toned down in the New Testament. The whole trinity to me is like a smoke screen. It was a way to cover up all of the inconsistencies and dispute the Jews on their status of the chosen people. It ties together all of God’s faces without resorting to poly-theism.

Most Christians can't even decide if Jesus was God's son or if he was both or the other. Confusion is the best way to cover up a mistake. Anyway, I hope I answered your question. The Bible was man made and nothing more.

its from the mouth of a human who had the arrogance to say what God does and does not DO how dare you tell God he cant change his mind. Why do you put God in a box like he is your little pet. That only you understand. God is bigger than your mind and you are not capable of understanding GOD so unless your source is GOD and not some other human with a brain incapable of comprehending the incomprehensible then your talking out of the wrong orifice.

People have a hard time understanding the nature of God. It's not surprising that they would think He is changeable, since most don't actually STUDY the Bible. Your quote (?) is SIMILAR to a couple of Biblical scriptures, but I don't actually recognize it, The Koran is famous for that, so I'm guessing that's where it came from.

times do seem to change but really nothing really does. God does not change but time is moving toward the fulfilment of His word.

I would have looked up that 'scripture' but I since I didn't know off the top of my head, I decided not to. But it does sound familiar.

God says in the bible that he is the same today, yesterday, and forever! God is never surprised, and just like your parent has insight on your life and gives you advice that you don't necessarily agree with. God knowing all things has an even greater insight, no mistakes!
