America admits more immigrants than any other country in the world, and, if I'm not mistaken, even more than all other countries combined; so it looks like your statement, "no one thinks," is a little bit off, don't you think so? The links below will help get you started on your paper. You can find many other related facts by doing a search on the internet using "US immigration numbers" and "US immigration law," or similar expressions, as search terms. Good luck with your paper.

I think italright to want to create a new life. I don't have aproblem with the immigrants who come over her, learn to speak english, respect the laws, and are working hard to become US citizens. The majority are the ones I have a problem with. they say they are here to create a new life for themselves and their families, but they refuse to learn to speak english, have broken the law, in most cases in more than one way, and are still living identical to the way they were in their country of origin, they work the system so they can be on welfare, and all the other things that cost taxpayers money. Don't you think if they wanted to be citizens so badly, they would keep all this complaining about rights on the down low and do what they are supposed to. How is this creating a new life? If you can answer this, then rocket science has been figured out.

Why should America be expected to help foreigners make a new life, they have a country, why can't they band together and make a new life for them selves in their homeland ? The answer is, that it is easier to do it in the U.S.. However this should not be a option to any one that wants to just come here as they please, it is one of the many problems that plague this country.

Should we give them a chance ?

Depends on what you mean by " giving them a chance " .

Should we let them follow through with the procedures, and apply for citizenship ?

The answer is YES.

Should they wait their turn, and when the time comes leave their past country, and assimilate into America ?

The answer is YES.

You need to remember these new breed of immigrants we are receiving, they do not want to be part of America, they only look at America as a means to a end, and if this attitude they show continues, there will be no where for the people that truly want a better life to immigrate to.

Just remember,

They protested aginst America,
They burn our flag,
They make claim this is their land,
They are not tring to become citizens,

Yea they need to do this as a reality show. The Americans are spoiled. I am talking about my own race. I am American born. I am Irish German, Cherokee. Considered white. The majority of white people are mutts with the majority of them not even knowing anything about from whence they truly came. I have strived to educate myself.... we must do so to understand the concept of anything so that we can intelligently assess situations..... The majority of the Americans do not care about the plight of others.... they are greedy and spoiled... and continue to claim something of which truly is not theirs. Why do I say this.....You say that we came as legal ones.....if you want to consider the atrocities committed to the North American Indians as our coming here legal do so......The Indian did not have the concept of owning land.......The saw land as on loan by mother nature. Mother nature owned the land they did not. So when the White Man came requesting to buy land the Indian so much wanted to share all of the bounty of the land with the white man......The white man tricked the Indians into entering into written contracts of land purchase.......lands of hundreds of acres purchased with little in exchange.....was not money.......Beaver pelts, deer antlers....beads...etc were the purchasing items. The Indians not understanding the concept of a man owning land......assumed that they were giving the white man the same rights as they had to hunt fish and camp .... The white man saw the Indian as stupid and dumb and fraudulently acquired his lands..... So don't say we came here as legal.... we came as thieves. YEA WE NEED A REALITY SHOW SO THAT I CAN SEE MY RACE HUMBLE THEMSELVES... AND CRY.... IN DESPERATION OF HUNGER AND LACK OF COMPASSION

Sure they should LEGALLY, and waite their turn like other immigrants that want in and are doing it the right way all of those people should be given amnesty and let in. but the illegals should be deported.

If you are referring to immigration it's not that they shouldn't have a chance to create a new life it's that they should do it LEGALLY.
