Yes it does. I was engagged after hubby finished boot camp for the Navy. We were engagged after bootcamp. When he finished school for the Navy he left for Italy to do his time overseas. We talked on the phone and sent letters. He was gone for a year. He came home to marry me. He was only home two weeks then left back for 11 months. I always sent him things that were little and really weren't big things. Then when he came home the last time from over there we were together and he was gone six months at a time. He wasn't home when his frist child was born. Everytime he came home i was ready to just rape him and everythings else. So it will make the heart grow fonder and your love will be stronger.

Absence does make the heart grow fonder. To be honest, fonder of someone else. I am separated and now actively looking for other people to hang out with. 9 months and counting. Talking by phone is just not the same as being there.

I think that absence sometimes makes the heart grow fonder, but sometimes it just moves on. It depends on how strong the connection is.

I think that if you truly love someone,that the heart may move on,but will stop in its tracks as soon as the heart sees that person again.

depends on how long u let it. if u dont think abt someone for a long time and cut off all ties it will take shorter than if ur thinking abt them or still talk to them... its a matter of how much ur gonna let them "control" you. my opinion. and to long just makes the heart ache.
