One of my fav. things to blend (which does sound stupid but I love it) is whipped orange juice. All you do is put it in there and set it on whip. It is so yummy and orange juice helps prevent kidney stones, that's why I drink it all the time!

basically you need some kind of fruit or flavoring, some examples are any kind of fruit, then you need some ice to make it slushy if you want, then you want some form of liquid like water, orange juice, or milk. Oh , you may also add some form of sweetener like sugar or splenda.
I don't really stick to a recipe as much as use whatever i have available. I think you can be pretty flexible with smoothies. if it turns out crappy, you learned something..good luck!

i like making sorbet for my smoothie (in stepped forward). I take a million or 2 cups of frozen mangoes, some splashes of fruit juice, (and Splenda- in case you opt for some better sweetness) and combine. I placed it contained in the freezer for a million hour and it tastes tremendous in a smoothie. After it freezes, I mixture the sorbet w/ one banana, a million/2 cup of vanilla yogurt, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and frozen pineapple, frozen strawberries, and frozen mangoes (plus some better ice- for an wonderful relax). in case you do not have all of that fruit, then only throw in inspite of you've. I only expend all of my fruit that I easily have leftover from a fruit salad or only some I easily have leftover from accepted fruit sorbet. it really is so so good and healthy :) wish this helps, and powerful success... there are the variety of tremendous number of excellent recipes obtainable. once you've leftovers from the smoothies, then freeze for as a lot as 3 days and thaw out for form of 20-30 mintues :)

I just fixed this yesterday and it was wonderful!!!
I blended orange juice, a tiny bit of sugar, ice and a freshly sliced nectarine. It was sooooo good. I left the peel on the nectarine - just took out the pit - and when it was blended - it left little flecks of the peel in the drink and it looked soo pretty and of course is great fiber and nutrients.
Hope you enjoy it!

I love peanut butter, so I made a PB shake:
Ice cream
Milk
Peanut butter
It's so darn good (and hi-pro), it doesn't need sugar. While I'm at it, Weight Watchers offered an APPLE shake (yup!), and it's surprisingly good. It's really refreshing. Milk, ice, apple, fake sugar. You can tell there's no ice cream in it, but if you're going light on carbs/calories, this'll do.

This strawberry smoothie is just the best!
Strawberry Soy smoothie
1 cup strawberries (frozen)
¼ cup water
¼ cup soy powder
1 tablespoon fructose
Blend it all up!!
(You can use nonfat dry milk powder instead of the soy, but the soy powder actually makes it taste much richer.)

Do you have kids? Every morning I simply blend two bananas in my blender full of milk and give it to my children. It's delicious and nutritious.
