Did you know that Jesus predicted over 2000 years ago you would say that exact statement? To paraphrase, He said the last generation will seek a sign but will not receive it. God will hide Himself from us because we are a perverse generation.
Maybe you are onto something... or maybe not. Great observation, public school has done you well. Bravo. There are some really easy and short books you can read to help educate yourself on the validity of the Bible. However, you probably wouldnt believe those either so I won't bore you with the details.
One of the greatest lines in the Bible goes something like this: "Their knowledge will be their stumblingblock," and another is "because in the last days iniquity will reign supreme the heart of many will grow cold." I paraphrased both of those but you get the point. There is so much knowledge in the Bible that even if you didn't believe that Jesus resurrected from the dead and died for our sins, there is still alot to be learned from it.
Or, there is always MTV...............................................

Surely it wasn't re-written and re-translated until politics got inside the church. There is a warning in the bible to people who might change the words of the bible, revelations I think. It's gonna be bad, real bad for those who do that. But I think aside from that that GOD would want you to read it with an open heart and mind, and let the holy spirit guide your heart to the truth. The bible is written in metaphors, and paradoxes, that is why each person finds something different in many of the same scriptures. Take what makes sense to your about your situation and the times and leave the rest...until later at least. Good readin.

Not only is this book rewritten from a translated text, a great deal of editing took place to make it fit into a patriarchal belief system. The Gospel of Mary Magdalene is missing entirely from the final text. It was lost for 1500 years and thankfully, it has been found. Not only that but where is the original? If we had that, maybe we could make some intelligent sense out of it!

He has revealed Himself today. In you. You are a living miracle whether you want to believe it or not. Do this scientific test. Place a plastic bag over your head and tie it very tight at your neck. See what science will find.

God could have chosen to reveal himself 2000 years from now, when their research would have been even better than ours. but then where would we be? the only thing i can do is trust that God knows what he is doing, and he knows the right timing for everything.

Its a private selection. There are people who elect to have faith in issues and writings that todays consumer-friendly awareness have shown to be impossible. And yet there are good ideas and clever words coated. We could never comprehend the reality of issues---seem at how plenty the writings have been replaced by using folk in previous historic past, rewritten. so as with something---take what's nice for you in my opinion, and don't sweat the rest. As for the "believers" plenty in presence here---choose for it, i've got have been given wide shoulders!

The bible is a good idea to be interpeted by good people to do good. If you have or had kids you should know how it works. Do what I say and you will turn out OK. God is the father, mother and advice for us all. What is only good can not be wrong Bible or not.

You can question and mock all you want but the truth is that even if God did reveal himself people still wouldn't believe. He does reveal himself to me daily. You just choose not to see. I look for him. The Bible says that if we seek Him with all of our hearts we will find Him. Have you been looking?
Blessed are those that have not seen and still believe.

That is the nature of Faith, believing without seeing.
But if he did appear today and perform miracles, I’m sure those who don’t want to believe would find ways to explain them away.

How you can know it is true is you pray. all you have to do is go and ask god and if you do keep an open mind, if you don't feel anything then it's false. do it what would you have to lose. and god does speak to us know he speaks to us threw a living prophet who lives on the earth today. Gordon B. Hinkley, look up the church of jesus christ of latter day saints.
