Because people are cruel and do not want to aid in the help which handicapped people need. It always boils down to money.

Disabled persons are indeed a minority status group, and worldwide they constitute the largest minority group.

This question is a good one, because it has theological implications from the Christian perspective.

While most churches now have disabled access--a ramp to get inside the door--there is still a long ways to go before the disabled feel comfortably included in worship and church activities.

Some theologians today are asking why disability is not at the core of our theology, when the central figure of our belief system is a wounded broken body, and one who is raised again, yet with the scars of the experience remaining to be seen by others.

B) Err...they are. They receive the same recognition, allowances, and benefits as any other racial/ethnic/minority/special interest group.

Because the majority has a phobia of handicapped people.....but they won't admit it.
