This is important to me, as i am looking for a short haired little dog that doesn't grow too big. Any ideas?

There is only one breed with short hair or long hair, no such thing as a Chihuahua with wire hair or beards. The only difference is the coat length. Any one who claims they have 'apple-heads' or 'teacups' just means they have one that wasn't bred to the standard, and no good breeder does that.

I actually just got an african chihuahua litteraly from africa! he's black and has a beard and mustache he is wired hair and is only 7 lbs! There are so many types of these dogs! but yes there is short haired ones etc....

PPS: ALL DOGS SHED!!! Smooth coats TOO!!! They just shed SHORTER hairs.
