8 year old's birthday party. Theme is along the lines of the crocodile hunter. We're on a tight budget too! Thanks for your help!

Eight years old is a good age. They still tend to like just about anything. If you have a Party City type store, they often have small prizes that are several for one dollar. Pencils with jungle animals, little notepapers, bouncey balls, mini palstic aminals, etc.. My advice is to not wait until the last minute either. I can't ever seem to find anything that's appealing if i'm rushed. Enjoy the party!

You could put small phone and address books and maybe some colored pens, a coloring book and small pack of crayons, colorful stickers. If the party is for a girl, little girls like diaries, hair clips and lip gloss....boys like little cars like matchbox cars, marbles,
play dough, yoyos.....you can find a lot of these things at the dollar store or "Everything's a Buck" store and buy packages of candy to divide among the goody bags. I found a whole pack of tiny phone and address books that I put in goody bags for my granddaughter's eighth birthday party and they loved them. I think they started entering names and phone numbers before the party was over. I hope this helps and tell whoever is having a birthday I said Happy Birthday

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, KIDS DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THE THEME OF THE PARTY. ALL THEY REALLY CARE FOR IS WHAT THEY RECEIVE. WHEN HAVING A KIDS PARTY, THE KIDS REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO THE PARTY BAGS BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR WILL BE IN THERE, THIS ITEM IS CANDY! YOU CAN FIND PLENTY OF STORES THAT SELL BIG BAGS OF CANDY FOR A GOOD PRICE, ESPECIALLY AROUND THIS MONTH. YO CAN FIND SOME GOOD STUFF AT ANY PARTY FAVOR STORE. HOPE THIS HELPED!

hmm...well you could go with a green theme and put in a lot of green candy (like pick out green m&m's, skittles, now & laters, etc.), balloons, and find some cheap little toys. Check dollar stores, they usually have some neat things kids love.
