our freshman year we went to the same college but then i transfered for sports and school reasons and she stayed. We decided to stay together and then the first day I get to school she breaks up with me because she says she has to learn to be independent and less dependent on me. and she says she needs to become happier with herself before she can be happy with me. I am having a terrible time with this:( It has been over a month and we have talked seldom. Do you think there is any chance we will get back together? I love her so much and I don't know what I would do without her...

I seldom read that the girl says this. It's usually the guy,which generally means he has met someone. If she is a decent person, and you must know her pretty well,it is possible she really means it. Women do get these feelings.Women don't jump from one person to another as ....mmm...your gender.(That's just my opinion.) If she won't even TALK to you, I think that's mean. In a nice,even calm voice, tell her you really need to talk with her. Better yet,see if you can meet. You deserve this,you know. I wish you the best of luck.

In my opinion there are two takes to this...
1) either she wants to see what else is out there for her...
or
2) she is also having a hard time with this... SO perhaps she feels that by not being together things might be easier...
you know how they say out of sight, out of mind.
OR there's also absence makes the heart grow fonder... So if you two are supposed to be together, it'll work out in the end. BUt there has to be effort on both parts.

i had a experience similar to this. i got back together with my g/f recently and its been weird. if you get back together MAKE SURE you know that she WANTS to continue along with the relationship. if not,keep her close to you and try again (dont go trying every week or 2, give it a month, i know you love this girl, i love my girl and i'll wait a year if she wants me too) but its going to need a lot of patience if you want to get back together and do it again. just keep her close. try not to start any convos about the relationship, make her laugh so she'll be more into you ;D good luck

Huh maybe you should wake up and smell the coffee. I think your girl just shot you a line of crap. Do to the fact that everything was all peachy kine while ya'll were at school together and then when you leave she decides that ya'll should break up it sounds to me like she has decided to test the water elsewhere.

One thing if she truly love you like you love her then let her go and if it is meant to be she will find her way back to you and move on let her spread her wings and fly but just don't set waiting either best of luck
