If your god is real, then why did he/she/it make people so tiny and insignificant to the point that we hardly exist in this universe?

I saw this page the other day, it is an approximate representation of the size difference between the planets in our solar system and the largest known stars. It's an interesting page, and very hard to comprehend that some of these stars are as big as they are! http://www.rense.com/general72/size.htm

* Note, not pictured is VV Cephei A "the supergiant, is the largest star known. It is of spectral type M2 and is about 1900 times the Sun's diameter. If it replaced the Sun in our solar system, it would extend to the orbit of Saturn. It is 315,000 times as luminous as the Sun and is 100 solar masses." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VV_Cephei

Do we really have any reason to feel we are so significant when we just barely exist? If your 'god' existed and was the maker of the universe, then clearly we are not that important to him/her/it.

Yes, my God is very REAL. Your problem is that you're comparing yourself to other things. God creates, He is a Master Artist. Every thing is important to Him. You are not insignificant, He has great plans for you if you want to be on board with Him.

Actually if you examine your attitude on this matter it is clear that you already feel significant enough to believe that you do not need God. So if you were a bigger part of the universe, how would that make you more humble? The fact that the universe is so vast, and that angels in heaven are less favored than us means that we are very important to God. the question is why is he not important to you? I mean if a God created the whole universe and we look at it and say "big deal" who is at fault? If he becomes a baby and grows and lives among us and willingly gives his life for us, and we say "big deal" again who is at fault. I sometimes wonder if people would say the same thing about a policeman or fireman who gave his life to save them. If so then when they go to hell, I'll do my best to keep from saying "big deal" because it is still wrong. but I'm not perfect.

God created this universe for our benefit. He said it was good after creation and wanted us to have something beautiful to look upon and be in wonder of. The vastness of the universe is a testament to His power, not a statement of our insignificance. I don't understand how people can look at the beauty and perfection of this ordered universe and think that it all happened by accident. Chaos theory would say that all planets would crash into each other, yet the stay in their own individual paths. It is amazing.

The Lord and Savior of my life is REAL. If you feel insignificant as compared to the vast universe then I feel that is something that you need to work on. I do not feel insignificant. God has a plan for each and every one of us and I am glad I am part of that plan.

Think about it this way,Jehovah created these other planets to show how much power he has, and that we should magnify, if you take the time to go to a bible study you can find out more about God and then you will get to know the awesomeness and mightiness of Almighty God.

Oh there we go with that college philosopy again. Are you putting a human limit on what God can or can not do and why he should or shouldnt do it? Yes we are but a mere speck in a universe that is huge beyond our comprehension. Tell your proffessor to quit asking these silly questions and start giving you some documentable answers.

my God is a BIG God. the only reason i feel significant is because he has told me that i am significant. i am not really sure why, but he loves me enough to give anything for me. anyway, the alternative is just as grim: if we live in a godless universe, we are still small and insignificant.

Beofre you Think your insignificant in Gods eyes I want to reveal what God has done for you and I and then I want you to ask yourself "who else or what else i the universe has God done this for? let me beginby asking you a few questions.

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are guilty of breaking three of the Ten Commandments and there are seven more to go. the BIBle says you have sinned agaisnt God and angered him, the Bible says the just punishment for our sins is Death and Hell, But Instead He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name, so pray something like this: "Dear God, I repent of all of my sins (confess them). This day I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me and grant me your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."

Now, tell me who or what in the universe God has done this for other than you and I (mankind)? the BIBle says we are fearfully and wonderfully made and God has set us apart as Humans and if you examine the claims of the BIBle, it is true weare the only known plantet to inhabit Human life. we rejected against the creator becoming the criminal in His eyes, yet instead of crushing you under his Justice, he has been so meriful to you, by dying on a woden cross paying the penalty for your sins on your behalf. God Loves you, he loved you enough to put himself in the seat of Punishment because he wants to give you an opportunity to live with HIm in eternity. so Please Repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus as Lord and savior and He will forgive you and grant you everlasting life.
