i just found out that my bestest friend in the whole world has a huge crush on me. he like "loves" me. i dunno what to do. i like him too, but i'm scared that if we ever break up or anything... we'll never be friends again. i'd rather keep him as my best friend, rather than trade it for and short time as his girlfriend...

If you're unsure, at least you can be sure that you don't NOT love him.

Give him a chance, and be very mature about it. If you're not comfortable with it in the end, just tell him so. If he's really your best friend, he'll realize that he needs to hang on to you, even if he can't have you as a lover. Just respect each other and your decisions, and you should still be fine if things don't work out.

I wouldn't go out with him. I tryed that and it didn't work out and now we are no longer friends. So your fear does hold some value. But it all depends on the type of people you are. If he hasn't said anything to you about dating then don't bring it up. It that is what your heart tells you then listen to it. You know what you rather have so go with that. If he did bring it up tell him how you feel that's all you can do. Best of luck.

If you really like him, girl...you might me missing a lot. As the cliche goes, it is better to love and lost than to never loved at all.
Take the risk to fall in love, and if the relationship will not flourish to forever, it is still up to both of you to keep the friendship...its one of the things that both of you have to talk about if you really want to go on to a higher level of your relationship.
Remember, being friends, both of you have a strong foundation since you started out as friends.

I've been in this situation. I was friends with this guy for a long while...well I started to like him...and he felt that too...so we told ourselves that we'd try it out and if it got weird between the two of us, we would break it off and just be friends...well....we've been togther now for 4 1/2 years....

the decision is totally up to you...follow your heart.

Give it a go! I kinda think that a true friend will be there no matter what. I told my best high school g that I wanted her and she turned me down--a lot of time invested for naught--trying to be her friend after that was awful. She dated a bunch of idiots over the next couple years and it was hard to justify her lack of interest in me as I watched one failed romance after another.

What you are saying is true, if you take it to another level you will lose him as a friend. Just sit him down and tell him how much he means to you as a friend and anything else would probable ruin the friendship that you all have together.

yes, a relationship with a good friend is always risky,...but it can work out. Just take it slow and keep giving each other the same respect that made you best friends in the first place.

Sometimes good relationships start off as great friendships. Its possible that you and him could work. Makes me think of the movie with Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peete. A lot like love I think its calle.d

Life is all about choices and chances, if you don't make the choice you'll regret that you didn't take the chance. I say go for it, if it was meant to be trust me there is nothing that can stop it from happening weather the outcome is good or bad.
