Hinduism or Islam?

Hinduism at its core is non-violent. Islam is the quintessential violent religion.

Why follow empty religion? Not to mention a religion with violence ( Islam ), or a relgion with superstition (Hinduism)

Of course there are some moral truths to these religions and that these religions are not neccessarily violent or superstitious... some modern sects are open and good...

But all religion believes in some sort of higher being and an afterlife[or no after life]

Take Athiesm for example... the higher being is the athiest and their is no afterlife.

or...

Evoltuion- Chance is god and there is no afterlife...

But why use a religion? Many religions teach basic priciples of Good and also hold culture together...

But in most cases, religion is just as fulfilling as money, friends, cars, studies, alcohol.... or anything esle that is temporal... temorary happiness...

But what gives life a sense of purpose? What is the truth? What is the right religion?

Well nothing in this world can make one truly fufilled and wantless... man will always want something that they think will give them purpose...

The truth is... that only One can give you what your very being desires- a relationship with God...

That One is Jesus Christ... not religion.... but Jesus the Son of God...

Don't believe me?

Ok tell me something that you have found that fills your soul with lasting peace and joy and purpose?

Hinduism embraces many gods and encourages freedom to worship which god you wish. Islam worships Allah in the way Mohammed was dictated the Quran.

Hinduism clearly does not seek truth in religion just prosperity as in prayer and praise to the god who seemingly does the most for you.

Islam accepts absolute truth and rejects any inaccuracies in their religious text by claiming it came directly from Allah.

A good question may be "What do these religions offer to its believers and how can they live up to the expectations in their respective religious texts?"

Christianity for sure!! But if I had to choose, then I'd say Islam...coz they don't worship idols!! But then again, I wouldn't choose Islam because they say Jesus wasn't God's Son, but just a mere messenger!!

No matter what they say and preach, in practise history has shown that most religions except perhaps buddhism are about klilling the other guy.

Xtians kill heretics, jews and muslims.
Jews kill muslims, especially palestinians.
Hindus kill outcastes and muslims; and lately xtians.
Muslims kill everybody, including fellow muslims.

So there... debate that.

Note: I'm not insulting anybody. It's a fact. Read any history book.

You shudn't mess with religions and race. This are peoples beliefs & principles of life!!
Try debating something else..

I guess it depends what you are depateing about. If you could choose something to stump the opponate, choose hunduism. People normally know less about it, I do.

But you could go on and on about Islam so it could be a good choice too.

Islam (like Christianity) preaches hatred and intolerance of all other religions.

Hinduism preaches tolerance and acceptance of all other faiths (even Islam & Christianity, ironically!), and they also seem to believe that if you are a good Christian or a good Muslim, you will be reincarnated as a "higher" being in your next life...

It's all kind of wacky! You decide!
