Yes, dogs DO have a special toothpaste, so you should NOT use regular toothpaste with them. You should be able to find this stuff (usually yummy tasting to them) at any pet store or even Wal-mart, and it usually comes with a little finger brush or the like. Greenies treats also work well to help clean teeth and freshen breath. Good luck!

There is special toothpaste for dogs. It comes in flavors like beef and chicken. You can get it at any pet store like Petco or Petsmart. I think that there is something in regular toothpaste that is harmful to dogs, especially since they eat it and don't spit it out like we do. We brush our dog's teeth and she actually seems to enjoy it now that she is used to it. Good luck.

Yes, dogs have their own toothpaste. The kind I use is made by Hartz, I purchased it at Walmart. It is a 3oz. tube that is beef flavored, and is for dogs and cats. It also came with a toothbrush. My dogs like it. Regular toothpaste is not good for animals.

Yes you need to use special dog and cat toothpaste. Human toothpaste will foam up in the dogs mouth and if he swallows it might make him sick.

yes... they're even these rubber things you can put on your finger and brush their teeth with. they're disposable, and you don't need to put toothpaste on them. it's already in the thing. but you can put dog toothbrush on a dog's toothbrush and use that, but the rubbery things are easier
