my friend always brought hers in after it aired out. about two to three hours.

If you must fog, I would err on the safe side and say after one day of thoroughly airing out your place. Using fans to blow out the "bad" air really helps out. Some rooms will have "dead air" where the air doesn't circulate well. This is where some of the fogging mist could still be lingering after a few hours.

just 3 or 4 hours is all that it needs to be aired. It should tell you on the fogger

well i keep bird out for like 1week and that's it!
