CAUTION!!!!! Terry Chaivo (sp?) was on a water diet, when her brain was destroyed from a mineral imbalance. Don't do it.

If you really want to lose weight, get a copy at a thrift shop or used book store of New Diet Revolution by Atkins, the old 1992 version. Read very carefully the supplements you need (3 or 4 multivitamins a day; 3 or 4 calcium 600D a day; 3 or 4 Vitamin C, no chewables, 500 mg a day; and during phase 1, 12 or 15 metamucil or Wal-mart Equate a day.)

then read the entire book so you understand what is happening, and how to do it. If you are a true pig with no self control whatsoever, it won't work. But, the Atkins diet does not make you hungry. yes, you need to avoid carbs for a while, then only controlled quantities over a long haul, but without hunger you will normally lose weight steadily with no hunger.

Dont be a Terry Chaivo, please.

First....All water diets are very dangerous and you are likely to end up in the hospital for malnutrition.

Second...any weight that you loose you will gain back as soon as you stop the diet.

If you want to loose weight then you need to eat healthy foods and exercise, However you must keep in mind that the more you work out the more you should eat since you are burning calories.

if you just drink and not eat, you'll starve...your stomach will tell you that & eventually your whole body....so best to eat something...go on a diet...
and yeah, sure you will lose pounds from that....water doesn't have any calories so you're basically not gaining anything...milk i'm not sure but i know soda has cals...anyways, just work out hard and go on a diet and you will lose pounds and gain muscles at the same time.

Your body would believe you were starving & lower your metabolism. You would loose some but, you'd get the whole lot back + extra as soon as you stopped starving yourself. Starving yourself, even if you exercise, too, never works. And yes, you will probably loose some muscle, too.

Well of course you would lose weight. You may also end up in the hospital.

maybe you would die, or possibly just get bad headaches, be extremely irritable, faint, etc.

I tried starvation diet for a few weeks till I started to fall asleep in all my classes...and of course going from A's to F's, and my skin began to look green, and finally my hair started falling out.

Why dont you go on the raw food diet, much easier and healthier.

You would still need to diet and exercise. I drink basically only water and it usually helps me somewhat with maintaining my weight.
