I don't think so. But what do you think?

By the same token, why should an illegal immigrant stay in this country just because he/she has been hear, violating the law, for five years?

I really want to know if someone really believes in this! I have yet to hear a smart opposing viewpoint on the illegal immigration issue!

WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE NOT BEING ARRESTED???

Assuming they were caught? They are stealing from others, and breaking an entering. Are you trying to say calling an illegal immigrant an undocumented worker is like calling a bank robbery an undocumented with drawl? Well you can call my vigilante @$$ an undocumented Border Patrol Agent then!

To answer the question about dropping the charges.
A bank robbery is a Federal offense. There is NO statue of limitations on a Federal offense. Even if the case is not actively being worked on, the case is not forgotten. It will always be an open file. The Feds will find you some day. Especially if the person does it again.

My husband and his friends arrest illegal immigrants frequently. In some areas there are arrests of illegals daily for crimes they have committed.

You say you have yet to hear a smart opposing viewpoint on the immigration issue, but I ask you, is your analogy smart??? Do you really think it is logical to compare an illegal immigrant who most likely came to this country to lead a better life and have a better life for his children to a BANK ROBBER who steals other people's money? Maybe I am not really bright, but I am sorry, I don't get your point! Of course charges should not be dropped on a bank robber! On the other hand, what sense does it make to spend thousands of dollars to prosecute and eventually deport someone who has just come here (not hear, by the way) for a better life???

Well, if you have full proof that the person did it, that person should STILL be arrested, because that person is guilty...

I honestly am not sure about the illegal immigrant thing, but I defanetly dont think it's very good... Perhaps the government doesnt feel like paying for so many plane tickets all over the world?

Don't you mean, shouldn't we give them the legal right to continue doing it?

Because the problem is the drain on schools and services, and they wouldn't stop using them.

Check to see if there is a statute of limitations on the crime.
