It means that he who recieves Jesus Christ to be his Lord and savior also recieves God his Father who sent Jesus to earth to die.

Hi! I'm pretty sure that when Jesus said this, he was trying to show people who God was. God sent his son, Jesus, to be his representative on earth. If humans were to be face to face with God, we wouldn't be able to handle his glory, or be able to relate to him, so he sent his son in the form of a human man to get his message across to us. Jesus and God are one, so when we see that Jesus is good, loving, just, etc, we know that God has these same characteristics. So if we accept Jesus and receive him into our lives, then we have also accepted the one who sent him, which is God, and we will be saved from our sins!

Jesus was the messenger.

if you love the LORD he will love you but if you say stay away couse i dont wont you then JESUS will say to you stay away i dont know you. and if you dont know JESUS then you dont know GOD

You can not know GOD or have personal relationship with Him with out knowing Jesus His Son.

those who receive Jesus and what he taught was and is the same as receiving god whom sent Jesus.
