Oui is the right translation for Yes,
but in the slang French, a more nonchanlant yes would be 'yeah'
written in France= ouais...
in Canada= oue... with and 'accent aigu' '/' on the 'e'

no all the other peeps are wrong, they think you mean yeah as in yes, but you're talking about "ouai" (pronounced way) , as if you got a car for your b-day and you said "yeah!"
