Mark Foley is a Republican homophobic bigot and child molester. Like all Republicans his being a hypocrite is par for the course. To him claiming he was gay sounded better than admitting he's a child molester. The fact that the rest of the republicans knew about it really sets them apart as the party of family values.

Umm, lets get our facts straight. As far as I know, Foley was never accused of molestation, just writing stupid e-mails and text messages to a male page. There is no indication that it went any further. As a Christian, I think his actions were foolish and showed a lack of good judgment. He has resigned from his office. No criminal act has been reported, no charges filed. I find it interesting that the liberals are all up in arms about this, yet allowed people like Jerry Studds and Barney Frank to hold their offices after being accused of far more indecent acts.

Oh, if Foley were a Democrat, the Republicans and the Christian Right would have a field day!

Apparently, the Christian requirement to protect the vulnerable is less important than the need to keep Republicans in Congress.

I'm searching my bible for the required justification, I'll let you know when I find it....just don't hold your breath.

Many fundi Christians base their total beliefs on the Buy-Bull phrase "Thy rod and thy staff comfort me".

they would only defend another member of their little clique, apparently, its ok for them to do it, but when a catholic priest does, well, that's worthy of a hanging or stoning
