I'm 18 years old, and I'm 5'4, and my current weight is 126. Is there any possible way that I could gain more weight (like 140)? I ask because I'm kind of skinny. I do weights and stretches, but I think it doesn't help.

Your metabalism starts to slow down in your late 20s. You will naturally start gaining weight then. Enjoy the 'thin' years.

i have been skinny all of my life...people kept telling me "wait till you get married" and "wait till you have kids"....well nothing has ever helped me yet..i am still skinny.

But i think if you really want to put some weight on you can do things like work out, eat starchy foods, and lift weights you should be able to. You will just have to work at it for a while...don't give up!!!

As you age, 30 - 40, your metabolism will probably slow some and then a weight can will be achieved. Until then, try Ensure or something similiar.

Yes, eat more complex carbohydrates and protein after your work outs. Try a grilled chicken, cheese and avocado sandwich (with multigrain bread of course), or even a glass of low-fat chocolate-flavoured milk with some mixed nuts.
