When someone is interested in you, or in anything, you can see it in their eyes. The way someone looks at you should tell you. Unfortunately, guys like to hide their feelings. If a guy likes a girl he will either be very straightforward about it, or he will play a cat and mouse game, and wait until you seem most vulnerable, then come on to you. The really "nice" guys are usually the ones that are trying the sneaky approach. It's rare that a young guy knows how to be straightforward without being demeaning or rude, so you will usually get either rudeness, or ambiguity from guys. So, how do you know? Basically, if a guy is starting conversations with you, chances are he is interested.

85% of guys say that they want the girls to make the first move. In other words, if a girl flirts with a guy, a crush pops up and then a guy would ask her out. I think a girl would know when a guy likes her when he is:
~Always Staring @ You
~Flirts with you a lot
~Laughs @ things you say... that aren't even funny
~Always want to be around you
~Treats you how you want to be treated

It depends on who the guy is. He can be nervous around you, or he could annoy the hell out of you. He may flirt with you. He could be extra nice to you.
This question has many answers. Guys have their own way of telling you that they like you, we're not all wired the same way mentally.

We can be sometimes compared to you guys as well(in this case).When you try to talk to us were kind of shy, when you compliment us we feel praised,and when you him something and he takes it the wrong way he takes it in seriously and feels a deep pang in his heart.
Some guys are really emotionally sensitive though they may not show it.

It has to do more with thoughfulness and a kind attitude than it does with someone looking or staring at you. There really aren't a lot who are worth messing with.

it's definetly not a dumb question....let me first say, every guy is different....some act cocky, some act shy, some act just plain goofy....either way if you want hime to show his true feelings approach him when he feels most confident...aka comfort zone...if he feels comfortable/confident he will most likely show you truly how he feels towards you....good luck
