Satan,
I expected that from you, you hate to see us laugh and have the joy of the Lord! Can't steal my joy! The joy of the Lord is my strength.

Nope. Their messiah is hung up on a cross, portrayed as a victim for time immemorial - it is inherant in their belief system. Victim=Good
Which is kind of strange, since he apparently rose from the dead and ascended to heaven and is now supposed to be seated at the right hand of God. Laughing is a sin. Enjoying life is a sin. When they try to come off happy - it seems forced. Which is probably why they have to work so hard to recruit, and witness to people - ultimately aiming to be martyrs... C'mon life is great! And God has an amazing sense of humor - otherwise how in the heck could he tolerate all of these insecure soupuss wankers calling theirselves "Christians"

Absolutely I believe that the best medicine is humor and when I get depressed over the never ending world issues and news about war and suffering there is nothing like a good comedian to put a smile on my face, my favourite or one of my many favourites is a movie called "Overboard" with Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn. Very well made.

Oh Yes.... I'm a Christian, a former Army Drill Sergeant and now a retired Cop. I love being sarcastic with witty comebacks.

God gave us the gift of humor.

well, i didn't know that the religion section was a competition of who can have the best witty comeback, but I guess if that's what you're here for, maybe we don't have the best witty comebacks, but I certainly don't take offence at anything anyone says around here. I just feel sorry for those who think that their way is better then God's way. If you want witty comebacks, go form a group or something.

Laughter is good for the soul.

It is when a person only gets joy from calling people names that it becomes wrong.
Or is it?

Jesus called the religious leaders 'White washed sepulchers' in other words painted graves.

Some people must have got a chuckle out of that one.

There are all kinds of humour
Some one has given me the nickname
Captain understatement.

So have a hearty chuckle,
a gentle smirk,
or a full blown belly laugh.

Enjoy life, but believe in Jesus.

each little thing is conceivable with God. in spite of the indisputable fact that, it really is amazingly uncommon to work out a good comic tale from a Christian. i have considered possibly 2 or 3 humorous jokes about atheists and that is about it.

At my church we sometimes tease the preacher. e is a very humble and down to earth guy. Once when we were talking about how we are all so busy with our lives. And how we need to put serving God ahead of other things. A lot of people said the end up cutting back on their sleep. I told them the solution was to sleep at church. The preacher thought it was funny.

I like about 1/2 to be funny, while always preaching the word of God to a corrupt and wicked generation.
